TEC was founded in 2018 by Robert (Bob) Zaitooni, PE, PTOE, FITE; with focus on design & analysis in the field of traffic engineering & operations. Mr. Zaitooni is licensed as a professional engineer (PE) in FL, GA, AL, LA, MS, TX, AZ, CO, WA, NV, TN, NY, NJ, CT, PA, MD, VA, and DC. He also holds a national certification as a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) and is a fellow at ITE and a member of Florida & Arizona Sections of ITE.
TEC is registered in Arizona & Florida and is fully insured to provide professional services in the area of specialty.
Project Experience

Standards
TEC is knowledgeable in application of most applicable federal, state, and local standards. This includes the MUTCD, AASHTO, ADA, ITE, and many other related standards of practice. We also have experience working with ADOT, MAG, MCDOT, FDOT, NJDOT, NYSDOT, and many other agency guidelines for the analysis and design of projects.

Traffic Signal Design
TEC recently completed the design & prepared a TSP for a traffic signal for the intersection of Ocotillo Rd & 148 St, in Gilbert, Arizona.
Traffic Impact Analysis
TEC recently completed a traffic impact anlysis (TIA) for a new high school in Maricopa County, Arizona. Mountainside High School is currently under construction near Wittman, Arizona, is designed for 560 student population.
Intersection Safety Analysis
TEC recently completed an intersection safety study for the intesection of SR 305 & SR 307, in Poulsbo, Washington. Study entails analysis of the 5-year crash history and the evaluation of the signal operation & timing.
Signal Warrant Analysis
TEC prepared an intersection safety study and signal warrant analysis for the intesection of Pleasant Hill Road at McIngvale Road, in DeSoto County, MS. Scope of work included data collection, 3-year crash analysis, and signal warrant analysis based on the requirements of the MUTCD.
Signal Timing Evaluation
TEC prepared the signal timings for a new intersection in Olive Branch, MS. Scope of work included data collection, evaluation of intersection operation and design of the timing interval for a volume-density operation for an isolated intersection.
Parking Generation Study
TEC prepared a parking generation & justification study for a redevelopment & reuse of an existing commercial parcel in Tucson, Arizona. Scope entailed evaluation of parking requirements for a common parking area in a shopping center.
Land Port of Entry (LPOE) Study
TEC prepared a traffic study upsdate for a LPOE for POV’s, COV’s, and pedestrians; in Douglas, Arizona. Study scope calculation of queuing for for POV’s & COV’s, number of inspection lanes (plus a bypass lane), and internal circulation for vehicles and pedestrians.
Traffic Impact Statement
TEC prepared a TIS for Arizona College Prep, in Chandler, Arizona. Scope of work included traffic generation & distribution, and evaluation of the driveway connections.
